SPIRITS PT. 1 is the first part of the double album release album from Australian producer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist LANKS, which was finished during COVID lockdown. LANKS describes SPIRITS PT.
1 + 2 as a reflection of the people and places that have come in and out of his studio and life the past couple of years. First single off SPIRITS PT.1, Ghost (featuring Sam Phay and produced by Alice Ivy) premiered on triple j's Good Nights, and received further support from NME Australia. The double album features an impressive list of collaborators including RY X, Cxloe, Alice Ivy, Noelle Scaggs in LA (who has written for Black-Eyed Peas, Damian Marley), HWLS (a regular Flume collaborator), Fossa Beats (Mallrat, Post Malone etc), Nalepa (The Acid) and many more. LANKS' previous releases have been supported by triple j, Savage Thrills [""Such a mixture of styles, LANKS doesn’t fail to mix his pop style of singing over more complex, musically interesting instrumentals""], Wickedd Childd [""signature mellowed vocal sounds and stellar production""], Pilerats, The Music. His single Comfortable was recently featured in Hulu series' 'Love Victor' and added to the soundtrack alongside Finneas and Caribou. Released via THAA Records. ....
