Dark clouds before my eyes
Can't face the morning skies Day comes a day too soon I'm waiting for that silver moon Maybe I'm wrong But I'm feeling like another night Would make it alright Twilight is fading through Seems like I'm fading too How can I believe it's real When nothing starts to stop this wheel? |

We are sailing in a ship that's got no sails
We are riding on a train right off the rails We are in an old sedan that's lost a wheel But it makes no difference to the way we feel It's been a long time - seems like a lifetime To be where we are Take a little tumble, fall and maybe stumble Now we've gone so far All along the highways of the sun No one knows how far it is we have to go Because every step we take reveals some more But we'll keep right on as far as the eye can see Over there where land and sky appear to be Crusing down the highways of the sun All along the highways of the sun |

Crazy preachers of our doom
Telling us there is no room Not enough for all mankind And the seas of time are all running dry Don't they know it's a lie... Man is born with the will to survive, He'll not take no for an answer He will get by, somehow he'll try, He won't take no, never let go, no... I hear them talk about Kingdom Come, I hear them discuss Armageddon... They say the hour is getting late, But I can still hear someone say, That is not the way... Man is born with the will to survive, He'll not take no for an answer. He will get by, somehow he'll try, He won't take no, never let go, no... |

Tell me no lies,
has peace arrived... Or, is this some kind of joke? What a surprise, you don't realise... There's some things you don't own. Can you disguise, can you simplify... This change you put me through? Can you revive, and will I survive... This life you've brought me to? Physically and emotionally exhausted, Nude was confined to a sea-side resort nursing home. His war had finally begun. The Last Farewell: |

Nude's thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. The postman muttered something about wishing he could go too and handed over a yellow envelope.
It was a command long overdue that called for healthy, young men. In reply to your request, please find... I hereby protest. To the ways and means you use you know... I cannot refuse. So I'll take this vow of Loyalty. Fight for the right, You have said, To be free. When this time has run its course, I must... Live without remorse. For the deeds I'm bound to do, I know... it's all the same to you. But I won't forget the memory... Taking a life, for a life... to be free. |

They tell me you're searching for a new place,
They tell me tomorrow will have a true face. They say that I don't understand, When you speak of your summertime land ? Just slow yourself down, I'm coming along. They tell me your past often hurt you, And even your friends, they would desert you. But now you are beginning to see, The same things have happened to me ? Just slow yourself down, I'm coming along. You tell me your dreams have been broken, And not enough words have been spoken. The time has come to see it through. Slow down 'coz I'm coming with you ? Just slow yourself down, I'm coming along. |

Latimer/Hoover
Listen now boys, my grandmother said - I'll tell you a story and then off to bed. There once was a time, we lived off the land. Harvest would come, and we all lent a hand But winds blew our lives, and scattered our seeds. Changing the landscape, from flowers to weeds. See in the graveyard the families gone. The grandest of tombstones carry them on... When you sail from the Harbour, It's your last eyes of Ireland. We tended the fire, and faeries appeased the flame never died until we had to leave. And when we were gone, the house tumbled down and covered our footprints, we'd left on the ground. When you sail from the Harbour, It's your last eyes of Ireland. My eyes are now tired and no longer see. But visions of Ireland linger in me. So carry your past in the rooms of your heart and you'll never he empty of love when you part When you sail from the Harbour, It's your last eyes of Ireland. |

Fox Hill
There's a fox on the hill and he's standing still, as if he's trying to hide. My horse is going after him, he thinks he'll easily catch him but the Tod is sly. Lazy days and crazy ways, the sun is high and I'm feelin' fine. (and so is ol' Dart) My horse is unconcerned as he takes a tricky turn on the heels of the fox. But as we come around, Mr. Tod is off the ground smiling down from the rocks. Crazy days and lazy ways, the sun is nigh and I'm feelin' high. (it's only rock and roll) "Well, I'm an artful dodger" said the fox, "they never catch me, no! I lead them all a merry dance". "I see you're on a pleasure run, out to have a bit of fun... perhaps you'd like a game of chance?" "So may I propose a little game ...if you'll agree. I wager you'll never catch me!" And in a flash, the fox flipped his tail, my horse took the bit, and the chase was on... .. And we're back on the hill we're going faster still. and we're nose to nose. Well my horse is going faster but the fox is going past us, laughing as he goes! Crazy daisy, lazy crasy, Matching Mole; a toad in the hole; (it's only fox and foal). I'm just a happy fox and clearly, you're just foal at heart. I hope we meet again. You've made me oh, such a happy fox. Cheerio! .. |
