2002 한일 월드컵 방송, 세계적인 미국 TV 시리즈 드라마 “E.R”,마돈나의 영화 “THE NEXT BEST THING”등수많은 TV 드라마, CF, 영화 음악에 모습을 드러내,미국 빌보드 차트와 UK차트를 휩쓸고 있는 혼성 듀오 메티스는 ‘혼합’이라는 의미의 불어로 아프리카 출신의 싱어 송라이터 아이다"AIDA"와 아이리쉬 뮤지션이 자 프로듀서인 스컬리"SKULLY"로 구성된 남녀 혼성 듀오이다. 1997년 그들은 자신들을 메티스라 이름짓고 자신들의 출생지 음악인 아프리칸 음악과 유러피안 음악을 믹스하고 일렉트로닉과 소울뮤직을 혼합하며, 자신들의 이름에 걸맞는 음악을 해나가기 시작한다.“BOOM BOOM BA”가 수록된 1집 앨범 [MY FAULT]는 그래서 더 그들에게 소중하고 중요한 앨범이다. 스컬리 자신이 가장 좋아하는 앨범이자 곡으로 꼽는 “PRAY”, 이미 숱하게 이야기 되어 말이 필요 없는 명곡 “BOOM BOOM BA”, 그리고 UK 그리고 유러피언 댄스 차트 4위에 등극하고 올림픽 사운드 트랙에 사용된 바 있는 “SOUSOUNDE”를 집중해 들어보라. 아프리카 음악과 유럽 음악의 혼합, 그리고 일렉트로닉과 소울 음악의 혼합을 통해, 그야말로 자신들의 이름을 확실히 표현하고 있다. ....  ....
