INTRODUCTION
Weezer 와 The Get Up Kids에 영향 받은 이모/팝펑크를 추구한다고 본인들은 생각하고 있을 때, Sarah Records의 Heavenly를 떠올리며 에스포살 레이블이 I Love JH에게 연락을 처음 취한 것은 2005년 봄이었습니다. 온전한 음악적 호의로 보낸 두 통의 메일은 각각 수신 후 삭제와 몇 주간의 무응답을 거쳐 겨우 답장을 받아 볼 수 있었고, 당시 레이블은 밴드로부터 데모 발매 후 활동을 쉬고 있다는 소식만을 듣게 됩니다.
그 후 여름이 지나고 가을이 왔을 때, 그들은 하던 대로 하드코어씬과 펑크씬에서 다시 활동을 하기 시작하였고, 이 밴드가 홍대의 여타 모던락 밴드들과 태생부터 다르다고 생각한 레이블은 이들을 모던락씬에도 편입시켜야겠다는 사명감에 사로잡혀 홍대앞의 클럽 '공중캠프'에서의 공연을 추진합니다. 공연 당일, 세상만사다귀찮은 모던락 밴드들 틈바구니에서 그들은 출중한 연주력과 캐치한 멜로디로 그날의 관객들을 단연 사로잡았고 그들의 모던락씬 편입은 가뿐히 성공하게 됩니다. 이 공연 이후 레이블은 정식으로 I Love JH에게 앨범 발매를 제의하게 되고, 당시 벌써 진행 중이던 녹음이 완료된 후 2006년 1월 I Love JH는 그들의 셀프 타이틀 데뷔 앨범을 발매합니다.
