INTRODUCTION
지난 6월 79세의 나이로 타계한 록앤롤/R&B의 레전드, Bo Diddley의 Chess레이블 녹음을 집대성한 [Road Runner: The Chess Masters 1959-1960] [2CD]!!! 미시시피주 McComb태생으로 교회에서 음악을 시작한 그는 John Lee Hooker와의 만남이후 뮤지션으로서의 방향을 설계하게 되었다. 57년 셀프타이틀 [Bo Diddley]로 데뷰이후 74년 앨범 [Big Bad Bo]까지 Chess에서만 20장이 넘는 앨범을 발표했다. 그의 리듬앤블루스와 록앤롤의 열정은 이후 Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton등 최고의 록스타들의 정신적인 아버지로 지대한 영향을 끼쳤다. 60년 팝 싱글차트에 올랐던 록앤롤 넘버 'Road Runner' 59년에 발표했던 흥겨운 피아노연주가 결합된 록앤롤 넘버 'Say Man, Back Again' R&B스타일과 록앤롤연주가 어울어진 59년곡 'Let Me In' 60년대 록앤롤의 모습을 미리 그려낸 'Story Of Bo Diddley'등 각종 얼터테익스를 포함한 총 52곡 수록! ....  ....
