In A Sentimental Mood I can see the stars come thru my room While your loving attitude is like a flame that lights the gloom On the wings of ev'ry kiss Drift a melody so strange and sweet In this sentimental bliss you make my Paradise complete Rose pearls seem to fall It's all like a dream to call you mine My heart's lighter thing since you made me this night a thing divine In A Sentimental Mood I'm within a world so heavenly For I never dreamt that you'd be loving sentimental me In A Sentimental Mood I can see the stars come thru my room While your loving attitude is like a flame that lights the gloom On the wings of ev'ry kiss Drift a melody so strange and sweet In this sentimental bliss you make my Paradise complete Rose pearls seem to fall It's all like a dream to call you mine My heart's lighter thing since you made me this night a thing divine In A Sentimental Mood I'm within a world so heavenly For I never dreamt that you'd be loving sentimental me
Driftin' Dreamin' In an Azure mood, Stardust gleamin' Thru my solitude: Here in my seclusion, You're a blue illusion While I'm in this Azure interlude. I'm not wanted I'm so all alone; Always haunted By the dreams I own; But, though I m tormented I must be contented Driftin' Dreamin' In an Azure mood! Driftin' Dreamin' In an Azure mood, Star dust gleamin' Thru my solitude: Here in my seclusion, You're a blue illusion While I'm in this Azure interlude!
I never cared much for moonlit skies I never wink back at fireflies But now that the stars are in your eyes I'm beginning to see the light I never went in for afterglow Or candlelight on the mistletoe But now when you turn the lamp down low I'm beginning to see the light Used to ramble through the park Shadowboxing in the dark Then you came and caused a spark That's a four-alarm fire now I never made love by lantern-shine I never saw rainbows in my wine But now that your lips are burning mine I'm beginning to see the light
They say into your early life romance came And in this heart of yours burned a flame A flame that flickered one day and died away Then, with disillusion deep in your eyes You learned that fools in love soon grow wise The years have changed you, somehow I see you now
Smoking, drinking, never thinking of tomorrow, nonchalant Diamonds shining, dancing, dining with some man in a restaurant Is that all you really want? No, sophisticated lady, I know, you miss the love you lost long ago And when nobody is nigh you cry

In my solitude you haunt me With reveries of days gone by In my solitude you taunt me With memories that never die I sit in my chair Filled with despair Nobody could be so sad With gloom ev'rywhere I sit and I stare I know that I'll soon go mad In my solitude I'm praying Dear Lord above Send back my love Alternative lyric: In my solitude you haunt me With reveries of days gone by In my solitude you taunt me With memories that never die I sit in my chair I'm filled with despair There's no one could be so sad With gloom ev'rywhere I sit and I stare I know that I'll soon go mad In my solitude I'm praying Dear Lord above Send back my love
