INTRODUCTION
힙합 뮤지션, 영화배우, 시인, 사회 운동가이자 자선가로 활동하고 있는 인텔리 뮤지션 Common의 아홉번째 정규앨범 [The Dreamer, The Believer] 발매!!! 초기 3장의 앨범을 통해 함께 작업한바 있는 프로듀서 No I.D와 12년만에 다시 뭉쳐 만든 9집 앨범 . 그 어느 때보다 앨범에 대한 자신감과 만족감을 내비친 Comm on은 “아마도 이번 앨범이 지금까지 중 가장 마음에 쏙 드는 앨범일 것”이라고 말하며, “진정한 힙합 앨범을 만들기 위해선 나 자신도 충분한 ‘힙합적 욕구’를 느껴야만 했었고, 내 영혼과 마음에서 진정으로 우러나오는 음악을 해야 한다고 생각했다”고 앨범을 준비하며 느꼈던 소감을 전했다.
첫 싱글 ‘Ghetto Dreams’ feat. Nas, 이어 공개된 두 번째 싱글 ‘Blue Sky’ 를 비롯해 미국을 대표하는 아프리칸 아메리칸 여성 문학인 마야 엔젤루(Maya Angelou)가 피쳐링한 `The Dreamer`, 존 레전드(John Legend)가 참여한 `The Beliver`, James Fauntleroy II가 보컬 피쳐링을 한 `Gold`, `Celebrate` 등 Common 스스로 ‘긍정적인 힙합(positive hiphop)’이라고 부르는 12곡의 완성도 높은 트랙들로 구성된 9집 앨범 , 올 연말을 장식할 최고의 웰메이드 힙합앨범!!!! ....  ....
