Key Note, Joelle - Devotional Essay
"The Humble"
It is indulgence that permeates in the life of enjoying everything.
It is not like ‘I got it' or ' I did it' but how could I start all the conversation with the word "I"? ’I' is the subject that takes place in the beginning of the speech and the word seems to be arrogant. It is like putting a name tag on the things that are seen with my eyes, heard in my ears and held in my hands as a proof that it belongs to me. A new mind is set in place. Things that had never been seen before began to be conscious, sensing things that had not been seen and felt. This opens another door to sharpness and isolation. I hate to touch and I hate to hear it. We pass by, live and struggle together living life but it becomes clearer that I am standing at the edge. Understanding someone or being understood is difficult because people tend to not know exactly how to understand or how they are being understood. You listen to other voice, but just because someone or something is 'different', you tend to not understand the others. The distinction of the word “different” makes the individuals to think different of each other, it doesn’t necessary mean that you accept the difference.
The area of thought that does not infringe excludes the understanding in the name of respect. All this stops by arrogance toward ignorance beyond ignorance.
What you own means that you will eventually lose it. As I own something, I loose companionship and I am lost in the time spending my time alone. I am unfamiliar with the way I deal with others, and by the time when I get used to it, I am tired from it. Arrogance, which took place in the dullness, breaks down the bonds of love that have come to me with the thoughts and knowledge built in mind. A broken relationship will lose love and make me invisible. Having the spare time and plentiful heart might be easier to approach others. The things that I have or enjoy at the moment can be possibly the things that I have lost. The things I can enjoy and is given should be revealed with modesty expressing God’s heart toward us.
Who accomplished this? Who gave this? What is the peace and rest that I have in the midst of all? Think back and let's solve it with prayer.
