[Be There]은 영국 런던을 중심으로 활동하는 Chez Mild와 한국, 영국 두 곳에서 활동하는 LUGH(루) 두 사람의 첫 합작이자 이후 나올 프로젝트 앨범 [Mayfair]의 신호탄과 같은 노래다.
소울, 뉴잭 스윙, 알앤비와 같은 8-90년대 음악에 강한 영향을 받아 우리가 잊어왔던 예전 노래들의 감성을 담아내고, 동시에 자신들만의 세련됨 또한 놓치지 않은 것이 이 곡의 특징이다. 여름에서 가을로 넘어가는 그 사이의 애매한 온도와 풍경, 아침에서 밤으로 넘어가며 석양이 지는 그 순간처럼 [Be There]은 우리가 사소하게 지나치거나 표현하기 힘들다고 느낀 것들을 곡으로 재현하려 했다.
붉고 화창한 낮과 같은 보컬의 LUGH(루)와 짙푸른 밤바다를 연상케 하는 Chez Mild의 랩을 듣다보면 주황색 빛 도는 따뜻한 그 찰나가 떠오른다. 마치 연인에게 사랑을 속삭이는 것처럼 잔잔하면서 열정적이다. 상반되는 두 사람이 만들어낼 프로젝트 앨범을 기다리며 [Be There]를 들어본다면 설레지 않을 수 없을 것이다.
보너스 트랙으로는 Chez Mild의 곡인 Hibiscus Of My Valentine's 의 LUGH(루) 버전 곡이 수록되어 있다.

[Be There] is the first collaboration track between London-based artist Chez Mild and UK/Korea-based artist LUGH (루), marking the start of their project album [Mayfair].
The track provides a clean nostalgic sound, focussing on the old influences of 8-90s music genres including Soul, New jack swing and RnB, without sacrificing the idiosyncratic styles of each artist. [Be There] attempts to capture the fleeting and subtle moments in life such as the temperatures of summer going into autumn, or the setting of the evening sun.
The mix of LUGH’s bright vocals and Chez Mild’s cooler tones create a warm moment of sounds, much like the confession of love to a loved one under the orange skies. [Be There] certainly inspires more thinking as to what the two differing sounds will combine to produce in the upcoming project album.
The bonus track consists of LUGH(루)’s recreated version of Chez Mild’s track [Hibiscus Of My Valentine’s]. ....
