Charlotte Day Wilson is a 28-year-old vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Toronto, Canada. With roots ranging from R&B to folk, her soulful, singular voice and timeless sound garnered global attention with the 2016 release of her debut EP CDW, along with her work with collaborators BADBADNOTGOOD, Daniel Caesar and River Tiber. Having returned in 2018 with her poignant EP Stone Woman, Charlotte displayed a crystalline statement of intent with stirring demonstration of power and poise.
After sharing stages with the likes of Angel Olsen, Local Natives, Feist, Haim, and Rhye, Charlotte's 2018 headlining tour sold out across North America and Europe. Her music has received universal acclaim from NPR, Pitchfork, The Fader, Billboard, Spin, and many others, while as of early 2021, her songs have amassed over 50 million streams worldwide. Charlotte's anthemic single "Work" has been featured in Apple's Shot on iPhone 7 commercial and television such as HBO's Euphoria and Netflix's Grace & Frankie. Charlotte and director Fantavious Fritz won the 2018 Prism Prize for the "Work" music video, utilizing the prize money to create the Work Film Grant, a $10,000 grant for Canadian female and gender non-binary filmmakers.
Both CDW and Stone Woman were longlisted for Canada's renowned Polaris Music Prize, and in 2019, Stone Woman was honoured with a Juno Award nomination for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. Her U.S. television debut saw her give a dazzling performance of “Work” on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and later that year, her powerful single “Mountains” premiered, an acclaimed collaboration with Daniel Caesar, Babyface, and D’Mile.
Since the release of Take Care of You (feat. Syd) and Summertime in August of 2020, Charlotte has been diligently working on her first full-length album, set for release in the Summer of 2021.
