A gut pull drag on me
Into the chasm gaping we Mirrors multi-reflecting this Between spunk stained sheet And odorous whim Camera eye-flick-shudder within Assist me to walk away in sin Where is the string that Theseus laid Find me out this labyrinth place. I do get bored, I get bored In the flat field. I get bored, I do get bored In the flat field Yin and yang lumber punch Go taste a tart, then eat my lunch And force my slender thin and lean In this solemn place of fill wetting dreams Of black matted lace of pregnant cows As life maps out onto my brow The card is lowered in index turn Into my filing cabinet hemispheres spurn. I do get bored, I get bored In the flat field. I get bored, I do get bored In the flat field Let me catch the slit of light For a maidens sake On a maiden flight In the flat field I do get bored Replace with Piccadilly whores In my yearn for some cerebral fix Transfer me to that solid plain Hammer me into blazen pain Moulding shapes no shame to waste Moulding shapes no shame to waste And drag me there with deafening haste. |

Who are you? My card, pretty lady. Devil May-Care Music Production, Beelzebub Scratch, President. I like your style, too bad you're not a singer. Oh, but I am, I am a singer! Hmm, no fooling. No, no listen... Fantastic, different. I want to be a star, of please! You've talked me into it. Contract! Just our standard contract, nothing fancy. Fame, fortune, fans, gold records, concerts, world tours, your name in lights. Take your time, read it all. Oh, I give up. Can I trust you? Ok, I'll sign. Write! Where's the ink? We always use- blood, it's more permanent. Oh, I don't know, can't we wait for Dad? Oh, sure, I'll be back next year. Come on, Wease. Next year?! Oh wait, wait, stop. I'll sign. What about a band... I know a drummer. She can't be bothered kid, she's got an interview. The interview circus is so absurd, and so silly. How do you feel about your sudden success? Well, I feel like being a big star is really great, you know. It's like, fabulous. Lonely, too, sometimes. Oh, that's nice. This is the biggest thing ever to hit rock! You're at the top now, sweetie. Yeah, but where do I go from here? Don't worry, I want you, we have a bargain. No, I didn't mean that, wait! I've been waiting, now it's my turn. No. According to our contract, at precisely midnight, at the moment of her greatest triumph, the party of the first part, that's you, agrees to render up her soul now and forever more to the party of the second part, that's me. Shall we go? |

The walls of the room seem to alter angles Elongating and shrinking alternately Then twisting around completely so that he was on the opposite side of the room A trick of the light and too much caffeine, he thought Then came a knock on the door And this sound was the same dark-brown tone as the wood of which the door was made At first, he thought he'd imagined it Because it would not have been out of place with the other strange hallucinatory events of that night But then it came again Only heavier this time With a sense of real urgency So pulling himself up And stepping through pools of moonlight and shadow He made his bleary way across the room towards the door And slowly, apprehensively, raised the latch The latch became a fingertip, touching his own Energy sapping as a new form, transversing the edge of his emotions His power became his agony, his power knew no bounds Whereas before, his peace withstood the vastness His prerogative became an endless force of the all impossible His final soul is flying with contempt only Even the legendary glance backward to meet with eternity's stone in peace or save his already destroyed You cannot share, the temperature is rising The ghost and monkeys make a choice This... This... He tried to will himself back to bed He wanted desperately to feel the reassuring crisp, white sheets once taken for granted To be back home, safe as houses, protected by walls covered in familiar patterns But even wallpaper had become sinister to him He remembered staring into the paisley print and seeing a repetition of skulls At night he would listen to the click of heels on the concrete outside And try to imagine the facial features of the unseen figure He would always see his own face And another realization of this prophecy rang terrible and true For at this moment, it was indeed, his own feet that filled the shoes Shoes that no man would want to wear Into the hills then to search for another searcher's closely held goals Into the forest under the billowing leaves Under the dreadful birds, the singing soil, the decrepid babies, the unhappy new loves The preaching alphabutics, the long-lost lovers never to find the safety of their mothers In fact, all the guilty clouds he will move into a playground A sense of moonlight and shadow All the stars touch to the cold molten sunflower, fly to his middle eye The wallpaper had sinister tones Alas, white cold Alas, rainbow's middle infinity's destination. All life's drums drink from bottles and visioins are blinded |

Her gaze hit the side of mine
So I opened it out To destroy what you thought was difference So I lied to you once again So I painted over you once again So I die before you once again 'What's the difference' Come clearly where the flavour is Seen here in black and white You've got two seconds baby boy In burning light white light 'What's the difference' Clear up what you are Burn out these eyes Rip up this place and scream 'I am your slice of life' (four times) Shivering under lamposts Shivering under glass Your standing on charisma again God knows it cannot last 'What's the difference' Ice inside your body Blood inside your soul Yet still twelve faces stand around Hugging your skinny bones 'What's the difference' So clear up what you are Burn out these eyes, rip up this place and scream 'I am your slice of life' (four times) And the car opened him up to so much more And the money is brighter with a wider smile And the problem expands inside your head 'I am your slice of life' |

Back in the good old days when dancing meant exploding
The idea was simple for a decent overloading And for a multiple flash with no cords attached He came up with a more remote flash trigger It's connected to an accessory in his hip Which automatically fires in perfect synchro But perhaps his most exciting development is his angle They call it the dance It's the St. Vitus dance Such flexibility What an accessory See his soft bounce What flexibility Such a soft bounce What an accessory And for special effects he has six filters Three coloured red with the others pilfered And if you really want to know what that means He could throw a blue flash from eighty-five feet Of course you might want to check out your own little output So we devised a few simple and easy to crack contortions So you can bump and scrape all the day through With the dance It's the St. Vitus dance The St. Vitus dance Such flexibility What an accessory Such a soft bounce What flexibility Such a soft bounce Check his hot shoe Feel his output He's a light machine See his angle He's a light machine |

Swallow your prayers Because the wind makes a mockery of men Your soul becomes a fish You swim in idle waters And drink other fishes piss Your soul feeds on fish On piss, puss and men Who in turn, become as you have become A fish No, not even that, but a symbol of fish Hooked by the baby flesh of maggots A ripple of life in tin This tin could become your world too So choose between this and water Choose between tin and piss Do you still feel thirsty now Are you thirsty now Are you thirsty now Do you still feel Thirsty Thirsty now |

Ziggy played guitar
Jamming good with Weird and Gilly And the Spiders From Mars He played it left hand But made it too far Became the special man Then we were Ziggy's band Ziggy really sang Screwed up eyes and screwed down hair-do Like some cat from Japan He could lick 'em by smiling He could leave them to hang Came on so loaded man Well hung and snow-white tan So where were the Spiders While the flies tried to break our balls Just the beer light to guide us So we bitch about his fans and should we crush his sweet hands Ziggy played for time Jiving us that we were voodoo But the kids were just crass He was the nazz, with God-given ass He took it all too far But boy, could he play guitar Making love with his ego Ziggy sucked up into his mind Like a leper messiah When the kids had killed the man We had to break up the band Now Ziggy played guitar |
