The first time I saw the Descendents,
They were the fastest band I'd ever seen. No one in the crowd really cared for them, We were waiting for the Alley Cats to play. After a couple months I heard Kabuki Girl, On Rodney on the Roq late Sunday night. That was enough, for me I hopped the bus, To licorice pizza and bought my all time favorite record. The next time I went to the whiskey, It was DOA with millions of Dead Cops. The latter band played faster than I could believe, But the Songs sounded the same and kinda sucked. 'Cept John Wayne was a nazi, And Joey Shithead was a drunk. Then John Macias beat some hippie to a pulp, Cuz Having long hair was a mistake. The third time I went to the hospital, I needed 13 stitches in my head. I managed to catch about 6 songs of Ill Repute, Then some suicidal threw me into a post. My girlfriend started to cry cuz we had to leave, Before DRI played 50 lousy songs. My blood stained shirt smelled of clove cigarettes, But it sure looked pretty cool after a wash. |

It's so easy to defend the Status Quo
with everyone so cool and cynical But when you see the end don't justify the means It's just that 180 degrees The great thing about bein' a human The ability to reason But reasoning don't work when no one cares 2 parts apathy, one part despair Guess what, this might come as a surprise I'll no longer roll my eyes A change of heart to let the conscience breath One quick twist, just 180 degrees Yeah, I now know the right thing to do Yeah, anti tradition tried and true Yeah, a world where wrong has right of way Yeah, fuck that world, fuck that heirarchy Go ahead, work, waste your life away Fuck that world, go fuck that right away |

Billy Cobin lost it all
We knew he would eventually Some wonders why he took the fall Others just ask who the hell is he And why should we care for him? A baggy man with baggy clothes A face made of paper mache He lost his humor years ago Along with his molars His head planted beneath his shoulders Kill the pain, integrity don't keep you warm and sane Don't throw me out with the bath water Don't wanna be, anyone who would wanna know me Billy Cobin had a time, Billy Cobin had a place Following his fifteen minute climb Billy took a seven second leap a cannonball Plunge off the deep |

It's okay don't be ashamed allow yourself a little hate, I really hate hate haters
A little hate is not so bad, when directed at injustice and evil doers You can turn the other cheek, but don't turn the other way, indifference is our biggest threat Enemy of the planet we finally have a common cause a catalyst A reason to forget about our differences and stand as a united front it's up to us To expose and humiliate the errorists, the american errorists, we'll start with one I know just one, the war has begun |

Got an invitation to Anarchy Camp
There will be twistin', fistin', biting, fighting all in an evening The soundtrack will go multi platinum Barbecue and pogoes while the effigies burn You may not wanna stay to see how we take care of a turncoat Christiania's kinda far away So come along with me Better get the manual and put it in the oven till it cooks We're gonna take the ashes to the wassail Rules of Anarchy Camp: reckless abandonment, random acts of dumbness will be rewarded If you see somebody taking charge, you'll be expected to beat them 'Cause everyone who's no one, will be participating No one who is someone, will ever get to know the joys of anarchism Destruction of the system So come along with us Salad days and nights on the anarchaic bus We're gonna pick up indigents and crusties and a half a dozen nuts And we're never coming home Underwater basket-weaving Methamphetamine symposiums African killer spelling bees Bowling in ice hockey rinks Anarchy Camp's never inert You think we don't know that it's not much fun till someone gets hurt So we're greasing up the rusty vert ramp Time to make some reservations for next year's Anarchy Camp |

Tired of livin' small, tired of the withdrawal, no more retreat time for attack Oh Benny how many times you tried to kill yourself, OD's and robberies and super stunts, I never thought you'd die from them Riding around in tanks, fire a round of blanks, Benny had never had such fun Until he took a wrong step into bomb, and that's when Benny got blowed up Alone, under a blanket soaked with sweat and piss, We figured Benny would end up like this We just didn't think for them |

Getting loaded for 15 years Till his liver exploded Now what's Bob gonna do Now that he can't drink? The Doctor said: "What ya been thinking bout?" Bob said, "that's the point. I won't think bout nothing. Now I gotta do something else To pass the time Had someone shave his head He got a new identity 62 hole air cushioned boots And a girl who rides a scooter To take him out of town They would get away Running around And as the trucks drive by You can hear the mother fuckers go "PUNK!" A couple of lines, an extra thermos of Joe He'll be kicking in heads at the punk rock show Bob's the kinda guy who knows just what Bob's the kinda guy who knows just what to do When the doctor tells him to Quit your drinking, now's the time But will he ever walk the line? To all my friends I feel just great But will he ever walk the line? Kicking ass, and busting heads Red suspenders Once a day he shaves his head But will he ever walk the line? [Repeat: x2] Bob! |

Can't stop obsessing all the alienation
My head is bleedin', frickin', brain constipation Somebody hear me, somebody listen to me Am I alone in this world, is there anyone listenin'? Appease me, can't find a reason to be Alienation, is taking over me I'm going away, can't go on any longer I really don't know why I just gotta die I never thought this was how it would end The body swingin', I see it over and over again Vanian singin', can I ever listen to it again? > It's been a long time
Now it's time to get your bubble burst Things are bad enough in the world Why do you have to make them worse Day after day, you just gotta get it So sick and tired of your bitching and complaining So long you've been oppressed while others lives are gaining Want reparations, you're needy and deserving Can't understand why some are served while you're doing the serving Anything but responsibility Where's my slice? I want more than equal rights I want everything for free! You waste your time concerned with what others are earning You want a revolution to start the tables turning A demonstration to make a better nation We'll spend the day protesting all the problems that we're facing Anything but face reality Where's my slice... Your brilliant theory How the world owes you a living You'll take away from others, The things they should be giving They own the pie and you want your share Whoever told you life was fair? You were dealt your hand - now play it Where's my slice... |

Where are all the stupid people from? And how'd they get to be so dumb? Bred on purple mountain range Feed amber waves of grains To lesser human beings, zero feelings Blame it on Human nature, mans destiny (mans destiny) Blame it on the greediocracy (greediocracy) Fear of God The fear of change The fear of truth Add the Bill of Rights, subtract the wrongs There's no answers Memorize and sing star spangled songs When the questions Aren't ever asked Is anybody learning from the past? We're living in united stagnation Father what have I done? I took that .22 A gift to me from you To bed with me each night Kept it clean Polished it well Cherished every cartridge, every shell Down, by the creek, under brush, under dirt There's a carcass of my second kill Down, by the park, under stone, under pine There's a carcass of my brother William Brother where, have you gone to? I swear, I never thought I could I see so many times They told me to shoot straight Don't pull the trigger, squeeze That will insure a kill A kill is what you want A kill is why we breed The Christians love their guns The church and NRA Pray for their salvations Prey on the lower faiths The story book's been read And every line believed Curriculum's been set Logic is a threat Reason searched and seized Jerry spent some time in Michigan A twenty year vacation, after all he had a dime A dime is worth a lot more in Detroit A dime in California, a twenty dollar fine Jerry only stayed a couple months It's hard to enjoy yourself while bleeding out the ass Asphyxiation is simple and fast It beats seventeen fun years of being someone's bitch Don't think (Stay) Drink your wine (Home) Watch the fire burn (Be) His problems not mine (Safe) Just be that model citizen I wish I had a schilling (For each senseless killing) For every senseless killing I'd buy a government America's for sale And you can get a good deal on it (A good deal on it) And make a healthy profit Or maybe, tear it apart Start with assumption That a million people are smart Smarter than one Serotonin's gone She gave up, drifted away Sara fled, thought process gone She left her answering machine on The greeting left spoken sincere Messages no one will ever hear Ten thousand messages a day A million more transmissions lay Victims of the laissez faire Ten thousand voices, a hundred guns A hundred decibels turns to one One bullet, one empty head Now with Serotonin gone The man who used to speak Performs a cute routine Feel a little patronized Don't feel bad They found a way inside your head And you feel a bit misled It's not that they don't care, yeah The television's put a thought inside your head Like a Barry Manilow, jingle I'd like, to teach the world to sing In perfect harmony A symphonic blank stare, yeah It doesn't make you care (make you care) Not designed to make you care (make you care) They're betting you won't care (you won't...) Place a wager on your greed A wager on your pride Why try to beat them when, a million others tried? We are the whore Intellectually spayed We are the queer Dysfunctionally raised One more pill to kill the pain One more pill to kill the pain One more pill to kill the pain Living through conformity One more prayer to keep me safe One more prayer to keep us warm One more prayer to keep us safe There's gonna be a better place Lost the battle, lost the war Lost the things worth living for Lost the will to win the fight One more pill to kill the pain Na na na na na La na na na na Na na na na na Na na na na na The going get tough, the tough get debt Don't pay attention, pay the rent Next of kins pay for your sins A little faith should keep us safe Save us The human, existence Is failing, resistance Essential, the future Written off, the odds are Astronomically against us Only moron and genius Would fight a losing battle Against the super ego When giving in is so damn comforting And so we go, on with our lives We know the truth, but prefer lies Lies are simple, simple is bliss Why go against tradition when we can Admit defeat, live in decline Be the victim of our own design The status quo, built on suspect Why would anyone stick out their neck? Fellow members of Club "We've Got Ours" I'd like to introduce you to our host He's got his, and I've got mine Meet the decline We are the queer We are the whore Ammunition In the class war We are worker We love our queen We sacrifice We're soilent green We are the queer We are the whore Ammunition In the class war |

She's a model of disaster with a heart of revolution She's so innocent, but guilty's her plea Everybody wants to save her from herself They really want to save themselves She's got the grace, of a tourist, with the charm of demolition She's a poem without meter or rhyme a random design of a flower Like a rose no one really knows She's a master piece deserving restoration or condemnation time will tell us If she's a lifer or a decomposuer she's the rose no one really knows |
