Are you ready yet? Are you ready yet? Is your peace of mind in a little bind? Are your cheeks all wet? Do you hesitate, 'cause you're not quite sure? Would you like to have just a little more time before? Are you ready yet? Is your mind made up? Are you all prepared, just a little scared, to be all grown up? Do you feel secure? Are you very sure? Are you certain that you're old enough for what's in store? Are you ready yet for what's just begun? Do you know with all your heart and soul that she's the one? Are you ready yet? Does he seem all right? Are you pretty calm? Are there any qualms about tonight? Do you feel at ease? Are you self-assured ? Are you confident that the choice was made of your own accord? Of your own accord? Are you ready yet? Are you ready yet?... |

Well, I don't make a lot of money, But I know what I'm gonna do - Buy a present for my honey, With a note says, "I love you". I'm gonna buy my baby a car. I'm gonna buy my baby a car. I'm gonna strap us in and we'll take a spin right down the boulevard. I'm gonna buy my baby a car. I'm gonna buy my baby a car. And with the flick of a palm I'll turn the radio on, We'll go searching for the stars. My baby's in a mild depression, All bewildered and perturbed. But I can just see her expression, When I pull up to the curb. Well, you can raise the price, And you can hike my heating bill, You can bring the pot to boil, And you can do it all at will, I'm gonna buy my baby a car. I'm gonna buy my baby a car. I'm gonna strap us in and we'll take a spin right down the boulevard. I'm gonna buy my baby a car. I'm gonna buy my baby a car. And with the flick of a palm I'll turn the radio on, We'll go searching for the stars. I'm gonna buy my baby a car . . . . . |

Hurry home from High School. Set the dinner table. Straighten out the living room. Child you're in full bloom. Draw yourself a warm bath. Douse yourself with perfume. Slip into some soft things. Wait until the bell rings. First date. First date. First date… Will he want to French kiss? Will your Daddy like him? Will you find something to say? Will you go all the way? Do you have your I.D.? Do you look eighteen? Are your jeans too tight? Do you look just right? First date. First date. First date… By chance does he know how to dance? Will you have a good time? Will he want to see you soon, or will he want to see you sometime ? First date. First date. First date… Will he have his own car? Will he drive you straight home? Will he rock you to and fro? Will he go real slow? Will he be wonderful? Will he be your true love? Will you have any fun? Will he be the one? First date. First date. First date… |

Hey Larry, can I borrow your car ? I got a date tonight with a movie star, She's got sexy legs and a perfect bod, She's got such a pretty face, I swear to God, Don't worry, it'll be all right, We'll have a bite to eat and then we'll dance all night, And when the sun comes up I'm gonna take her home, And we'll kiss goodnight and I'll walk away alone, She's not your ordinary girl, She's much more wonderful, (She's wonderful) I wouldn't change her for the world, She is so extra special, Hey Larry, you know it's just what it seems, I thought I'd never find her but she's the girl of my dreams, And every time I see her it's like the first time, I get nervous and I stammer and my temperature climbs, Gee, Larry, do you know what she said ? She said "I always wanted someone with a lot of bread, And then you came along and you saw right through, And you stole my heart, so you'll just have to do," She's not your ordinary girl, She's much more wonderful, (She's wonderful) I wouldn't change her for the world, She is so extra special. Hey Larry, you're a real pal, I don't know how I'll ever thank you but I can't right now, I've got to change my clothes, I've got to take a shower, I got to pick her up in half an hour, So listen, Larry, see I got to run, But what I'm tryin' to to tell you is that she's the one, And I'll be real careful like I've always been, And I'll see you tomorrow, And thanks again, She's not your ordinary girl, She's much more wonderful, (She's wonderful) I wouldn't change her for the world, She is so extra special. Hey Larry, can I borrow your car? I got a date tonight with a movie star... |

I'm not as strong as I would like to be. Sometimes the current pulls me out to sea. You're always there to rescue me. I depend on you. I depend on you. When I need someone to see me through, I depend on you. Sometimes I sit around for days and days. You try and tell me that it's just a phase. You help me see the error of my ways. I depend on you. I depend on you. When I need someone to see me through, I depend on you. I come in soaking wet from the storm. You smile and tell me I'm just true to form. I touch your body and it feels so warm. I depend on you. I depend on you. When I need someone to see me through, I depend on you. |

Tonight while you were at the show, I saw a U.F.O. I was surprised to see it land. But when they asked me to go, I said, "No, I can't", I said, I will never leave you. I will never stray. I will never leave you. I will never go away. The little man said, "How can this be? Think of all the wondrous things you'd see, The secrets of the universe," "Thanks", I said, "But, not for me." You see, I will never leave you. I will never stray. I will never leave you. I will never go away. He looked at me, he shook his head. He climbed aboard his ship, away he sped. And as he sailed across the sky, I'm pretty sure he waved goodbye. But, I will never leave you. I will never stray. I will never leave you. I will never go away |

He was a rumpled romeo with a 10 speed bike and a stereo, She was a dauntless damsel in a dress with her lovelight all aglow. He picked her up in the parking lot with a whole bouquet of forget-me-nots, Two tickets and a gift wrapped box of Oreo's. She said, Oooh. Love is real. Nothing you can do or say will ever change the way I feel, Oooh. Love is real They went to a picture show, The lights went on and they got up to go. He said "Well" and she said "I don't know." He put the car in gear and she sat very near. He turned the wheel and she whispered in his ear so soft and low. She said, Oooh. Love is real. Nothing you can do or say will ever change the way I feel, Oooh. Love is real They were headed for their destiny. They were headed for a place the ground would yield. They were headed for the baseball field. And as they fell through space, the moonlight touched her face. They found a quiet place where teenage lovers go. They kissed and shed their clothes, She took his hand and held him close, Underneath the bleachers in the dark where the tall grass grows. She said, Oooh. Love is real. Nothing you can do or say can ever change the way I feel, Oooh. Love is real. |

Special effects drive me right up the wall. I can't reason at all with your special effects. Special effects, oh, they turn me around, I can't locate the ground with your special effects. You turn your power on me I can hardly see. My senses reel and whirl, I never want to be without your… Special effects, oh, they take my breath away, I can't tell night from day with your special effects, Special effects. Special effects. Special effects… |
