Big Violin Player, Lisa Yihwan Lim, is the Chillest Cellist from South Korea. As a string player it’s very hard to make groove, but she develops various groove, harmony and Melodies through her special looping and percussive sound.
Her songs are about romantic love, humanity, and cities. Her music has been described as a cross between old blues and psychedelic rock. She also draw influence from Korean traditions, and bluegrass and funk. The songs are based around cello groove, but also around extended improvisations.
This first single [Woori Funk] (우리 펑크) is inspired by a Korean traditional melody '뱃노래,' which she reinterpreted in her own funky style. Hope you all can feel the Spicy K-funk Vibes.
