미국의 흑인여성 포크가수이자 기타리스트. 본명 Odetta Felious Golden. 앨라배마주 버밍검에서 출생하였다. 처음 클래식의 성악을 공부하다가 뒤에 기타를 독습하여 1952년 포크가수가 되고 그후 벨러폰티의 후원으로 1959년 뉴포트 포크페스티벌에 출연하여 호평을 받았다. 풍부한 성량과 가사에 대한 뛰어난 해석, 그리고 설득력 있는 창법은 정평이 나 있다. .... ....
