And I love you so The people ask me how How I've lived till now I tell them I don't know I guess they understand How lonely life has been But life began again The day you took my hand And yes I know how lonely life can be The shadows follow me the night won't set me free But I don't let the evening get me down Now that you're around me And you love me too Your thoughts are just for me You set my spirit free I'm happy that you do The book of life is brief And once a page is read All but love is dead That is my believe And yes I know how lonelyless can be The shadows follow me And the night won't set me free but I don't let the evening get me down Now that you're around me
Sleigh bells ring; are you list'nin'? In the lane, snow is glist'nin', A beautiful sight, we're happy to night Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
Gone away is the bluebird, Here to stay is a new bird; He sings a love song as we go along Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
In a meadow we can build a snowman, Then pretend that he is Parson Brown; Hell say, 창??Are you married?창?? We'll say, 창??No man! But you can do the job when you're in town!창??
Later on we'll conspire As we dream by the fire, To face unafraid the plans that we made Walkin' in a winter wonderland!
Said the night wind to the little lamb Do you see what I see? (do you see what I see?) Way up in the sky, little lamb Do you see what I see (do you see what I see?)
A star, a star, dancing in the night With a tail as big as a kite With a tail as big as a kite!
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy Do you hear what I hear? (do you hear what I hear?) Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy, Do you hear what I hear? (do you hear what I hear?)
A song, a song, high above the tree With a voice as big as the sea With a voice as big as the sea!
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king Do you know what I know? (do you know what I know?) In your palace warm, mighty king Do you know what I know? (do you know what I know?)
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold Let us bring Him silver and gold Let us bring Him silver and gold!
Said the king to the people everywhere (said the king to the people everywhere!) Listen to what I say (listen to what I say!) Pray for peace, people everywhere (pray for peace, people everywhere!) Listen to what I say (listen to what I say!)
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night He will bring us goodness and light He will bring us goodness and light!
Do you hear what I hear? (do you hear what I hear?) Do you hear what I hear? (do you hear what I hear?) Do you hear what I hear? (do you hear what I hear?)

Oh it's a good day, for singing this song and it's a good day, for moving along Yes it's a good day, how could anything go wrong? It's a good day from morning till night
Yes it's a good day for paying for shining your shoes and it's a good day, for loosing the blues anything to gain and nothing to loose cause it's a good day from morning till night (you're right!)
I said to the sun, good morning sun Rise and shine today You know you got to get going if you're gonna make a showin And you know you'll got that right away
Cause it's a good day, for paying your bills And it's a good day, for killing your ills So take a deep breath throw away all your pills Cause it's a good day from morning till night
Just this very day i said to the sun: "Good morning sun" Rise and shine (why don't you rise and shine) You know you got to get going if you're gonna make a showin And you know you'll got that right away
Cause it's a good day, for paying your bills And it's a good day, for killing your ills So take a deep breath (ahhh) throw away all your pills Cause it's a good day from morning till night say that again yes it's a good day from morning till night that's what he said cause it's a good day from morning till niiiiight!
You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss, A sigh is just a sigh, the fundamental things apply, As time goes by . . .
An' when two lovers woo, they still say "I love you," On that you can rely, no matter what the future brings, As time goes by . . .
Moonlight an' love songs never out of date, Hearts full of passion, jealousy an' hate, Woman needs man and man must have his mate, That no one can deny . . .
It's still the same old story, a fight for love an' glory, A case of do or die, the world will always welcome lovers, As time goes by . . .
< instrumental verse three >

My funny Valentine, sweet comic Valentine, You make me smile with my heart, Your looks are laughable, un-photographical, Yet you're my favourite work of art . . .
Is your figure less than Greek ? Is your mouth a little weak? When you open it to speak, are you smiling? But don't change a hair for me,
Not if you care for me. Stay little valentine, stay! Each day is Valentine's Day . . .
Each day is Valentine's Day . . .

The bells are ringin', for me an' my gal, The birds are singin' for me an' my gal, Everybody's been knowin', to a weddin' they're goin' An' for weeks they've been sewin' every Susie and Sal' . . .
They're congregatin' ( ding, dong, ding, dong, ) For me an' my gal ( ding, dong, ding, dong, ) The Parson's waitin' ( ding, dong, ding, dong, ) For me and my gal ( ding, dong, ding, dong, ) An' someday I'm gonna build a little home for two, Or three or four, or more, In Loveland, for me an' my gal . . .
See the relatives there, lookin' over the pair, They can tell at a glance, it's a loving romance, It's a wonderful sight, as the families unite, See it makes the boy proud, as he says to the crowd . . .
The bells are ringin', for me an' my gal, The birds are singin' for me an' my gal, Everyone's been knowin' ( all our friends and our relations! ) To a weddin' they're goin' ( will be at the railroad station! ) An' for weeks they've been sewin' ( or, they'll send congratulations! ) Every Susie and Sal' ( . . . for me an' my gal! )

Music by George W. Meyer, lyrics by Edgar Leslie and E. Ray Goetz, published 1917
I gotta right to sing the blues, I gotta right to feel low-down, I gotta right t' hang around, down around the river . . .
A certain gal in this ol' town, keeps draggin' my poor heart around, All I see for me, is misery . . .
I gotta right to sing the blues, I gotta right to moan and sigh, I gotta right to sit and cry, down around the river . . .
I kno' the deep blue sea, will soon be callin' me, It must be love, say what you choose, I gotta right to sing the blues! ( doo doo, doo doo doo, doo doo, doo doo doo )
( He's gotta right to sing the blues ) I gotta right to sing the blues! ( He's gotta right to moan and sigh ) I gotta right t' moan and sigh! ( He's gotta right to sit an' cry ) sit an' cryin' down along the river!
I kno' the deep blue sea, will soon be callin' me, It must be love, say what you choose, I gotta right to sing the blues . . . the blues, I gotta right ( the right! ) tonight ( tonight! ) I gotta right to sing the blues! ( doo doo, doo doo, doo wah! )
Music by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Ted Koehler, 1932
I'm just breezin' along with the breeze, Trailing the rails, I'm a roamin' the seas. Like the birdies that sing in the trees, Pleasin' to live, livin' to please.
The sky is the only roof I have over my head, And when I'm weary, mother nature makes me a bed. I'm just goin' along as I please, Breezin' along with the breeze.
< instrumental repeat of verse >
The sky is the only roof I have over my head, And when I'm weary, mother nature makes me a bed. I'm just goin' along as I please, Breezin' along with the breeze.

I can't show my face, Can't go anyplace, People stop an' stare, It's so hard to bare, Everybody knows you left me, It's the talk of the town . . .
Every time we meet, My heart skips a beat, We don't stop to speak, 'Though it's just a week, Everybody knows you left me, It's the talk of the town . . .
We send out invitations, To friends and relations, Announcing our weddin' day Friends and our relations, Gave congratulations, How can you face them? What can you say?
Let's make up sweetheart, We can't stay apart, Don't let foolish pride, Keep you from my side, How can love like ours be ended? It's the talk of the town . . .
< instrumental repeat of verse >

It happened in monterey, a long time ago, I met her in monterey, in ol' mexico. Stars an' steel guitars and luscious lips as red as wine, Broke somebody's heart and I'm afraid that it was mine.
It happened in monterey, without thinkin' twice, I left her an' threw away the key to paradise. My indiscreet heart, longs for a sweetheart, That I left in ol' monterey!

It's a quarter t' three, There's no one in the place except you an' me. So, set 'em up joe, I've got a little story that you otta kno. We're drinkin' my friend, t' the end of a brief episode, Make it one for ma baby an' one more for the road . . .
I got the routine, so drop another nickel in the machine, I'm feelin' so bad, I wish you'd make the music dreamy an' sad, Could tell you a lot, but you've got to be true to your 'code' Make it one for ma baby, one more for the road . . .
You'd never kno' it, but buddy, I'm kind of a poet, And I've got a lot of things to say. And when I'm gloomy, you simply gotta listen to me, Until it's talked away . . .
Well, that's how it goes, and joe I kno' you're gettin' anxious t' close, So thanks for the cheer, I hope you didn't mind my bendin' your ear . . . This torch that I've found, must be drowned or it soon will explode, Make it one for ma baby, an' one more for the road . . .
