YUNA (유나)는 싱어송라이터로서 음악의 힘을 잘 알고 있다. 그녀의 부드러운 목소리와 따뜻한 기타 사운드에는 삶과 사랑에 관한 이야기들을 가슴으로 전달하는 힘이 담겨 있다.
L.A.에서 거주하고 있는 YUNA는 말레이시아에서 태어났다. 변호사인 아버지의 영향을 받아 그녀 또한 법대를 진학, 졸업한 재원이지만 대학시절 기타와 곡 쓰기에 푹 빠졌고 현재는 그녀가 원하는 싱어송라이터의 길을 걷고 있다. 그녀는 No Doubt(노다웃), The Cranberries(더크렌베리), 그리고 Fiona Apple(피오나에플)로부터 많은 영감을 받았다고 한다. 2008년 YUNA는 자신이 직접 만든 싱글 앨범 “Deeper Conversation”을 발매했는데 말레이시아에서 그 해의 우수 팝송 등 많은 상을 수상했고, 2009년 MOCCA(모카)의 밴드결성 10주년 기념 공연에서 초대가수로 무대에 서는 등 자국에서는 이미 싱어송라이터로서 많은 사랑과 인정을 받고 있다. 그녀는 올해 더 큰 행보의 첫 걸음을 내딛기 시작했다. 2011년 2월 뉴욕의 유명한 공연장 Mercury Lounge(머큐리라운지)에서 첫 공연을 했는데 곧바로 라디오 프로그램(KEXP)에 초대되어 많은 주목을 받았다. MTV, The New York Post, 그리고 전설적인 음악 프로듀서 Russell Simmons는 그녀의 서정적인 목소리와 작곡 실력에 극찬을 아끼지 않았다. .... ....
