2004년, [weiv]의 한 필자는 디벤드라 벤하트의 수작 [Rejoicing In The Hands](2004)을 다음의 짧은 문구로 평했다. '활력을 잃은 로파이 인디 포크(컨트리)씬의 미래가 될 가능성 충분.' 그리고 현재 또 다른 필자는 벤하트의 [Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon](2007)에 대해 이렇게 쓴다.
