The five-person group TIMY (read as tee-mee) puts its own unique spin on gugak and consists of members specializing in minyo vocal, gayageum, geomungo, haegeum, and MIDI programming. The group’s objective is to create original music that unravels the unique colors and stories of each member through music, to be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. In particular, they aim to promote Korean music and culture through creative works that fuse gugak and electronic music, communicate with the public through new genres of gugak compositions, and contribute to the development and preservation of gugak. ....
