INTRODUCTION
많은 사람들이 말랑말랑하고 상업주의에 찌든 팝을 듣는 것보다 록을 들어야 한다고 주장하는 것은 어쩌면 이기적이고 편협한 사고방식처럼 들리지만, 일단 무대 위의 어떤 아티스트가 악기를 들고 기타 튠(Tune)을 맞추며 다른 멤버들과의 조화로운 호흡을 통해 노래를 불러주는 모습을 보고 나면 이것이 정말 라이브의 진수구나, 아님 뮤지션이라면 적어도 이래야 하지 않을까란 생각에 빠지게 된다.
그만큼 록음악은 멤버들이 오랫동안 닦아온 팀웍의 명백한 증거로 탄생한 산물이며 적어도 그들만의 진정하고 솔직한 모습을 가장 직접적으로 느낄 수 있게 해주는 음악이기 때문이다.
무수히 많은 밴드의 흥망성쇠를 보면서 그들이 남긴 주옥같은 트랙들은 시간이 지나도 리스너의 가슴을 치고 머리를 뒤흔드는 무언가가 있다. 그리고 지금 소개하는 록 컴필레이션 [Let`s Rock]은 90년대 말에서 2002년을 관통하는 심장들만 모아 놓은 것 같다.
이런 감동과 흥분의 기회를 맞이하기란 쉽지 않을 듯. 여하간 록을 몰라도, 아니 록에 관심조차 없는 이들이라 해도 이 한 장의 앨범이면 최근 록 음악을 이해하기에 완벽하다고 감히 생각해본다. ....  ....
